Dr. Christopher S. Walsh established Mid-Rivers Cancer Center in 2005 to bring carefully customized radiation therapy to cancer patients in Virginia's Northern Neck. He has surrounded himself with a caring and dedicated team focused on providing you the best experience possible. 

Mid-Rivers Cancer Center uses a zero-defect safety process, ensuring the highest possible level of treatment safety. Dr. Walsh has been an innovator in implementing solid-brass compensator Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). The process used at Mid-Rivers Cancer Center filters radiation beams to achieve a more accurate beam delivery while reducing "hot spots" and radiation exposure to normal tissue. This reduces, and in some cases eliminates, therapeutic side effects.
